Jazz Composer and alto saxophonist. Parker is one of the most important names in the transition from traditional to modern jazz. He is considered the inventor of bebop along with Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk and Bud Powell. Charlie Parker's nickname is "The Bird".
