Gijsbertus van OVERBEEK (Dordrecht 1882 - Rotterdam 1947)
Gijsbertus van Overbeek was a painter of cityscapes, especially with Rotterdam as subject, landscapes and animals. In the latter genre he preferred painting horses. He received his education at the Akademie in Rotterdam and afterwards became a member of 'The Independents' in Amsterdam.
