Han KRUG (The Hague 1890 - The Hague 1977)
Krug was a Dutch artist. He studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague. Around 1910 he started his own advertising and decoration studio in The Hague. In 1923 he became a member of Pulchri Studio. In the 1930s he started painting large dune landscapes in oil. During the Second World War he was forced to go into hiding in Wieringen. After the war, he continued making landscapes in the same vein and was, among other things, co-founder of the Haagse Aquarellisten.
