Jan Heijnen (1948) was educated at the City Academy of Applied Arts at the Department of Monumental Design, Painting, Drawing and Graphics. In addition, he completed a creative pedagogical-didactic course, which gave him teaching qualification.
He regularly exhibits at home and abroad: Maastricht, Amsterdam, Leeuwarden, Germany, Scotland, Poland, Japan. His work is also included in many private and government collections and can also be found in various art libraries in the country.
