Before Jonas Bohlin was involved in interior design, he was an engineer. At the graduation presentation at the Konstfackskolan in 1981 he presented the Concrete chair. His time as an engineer clearly played a role in the design of this product. The chair sparked a discussion about the value of form and function. In general, Bohlin worked with postmodernist designs. His works have been exhibited in Scandinavia, Japan, America and Europe. From 1991 to 1993, Bohlin was president of the SIR (National Association of Swedish Interior Architects). An important project he carried out was the LIV. He built a boat and rowed from Stockholm to Paris in three months. The inspiration he gained from this are part of the LIV collection.
