Education
Kees Verkade studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and has made a name for himself, mainly as a sculptor. He can now be counted as one of the most famous sculptors in the Netherlands. In addition to his sculptures, Kees Verkade also makes colorful Gouaches and Silkscreens.
Biography
Kees Verkade's images are characterized by figurative representations of people in motion. Sculptures of playing children, athletes, dancers and lovers are characteristic of his oeuvre. Verkade's sculptures have received international recognition and can be found in many corporate and private collections, as well as in various museums at home and abroad. It is also regularly auctioned at the major international auction houses such as Christie's and Sotheby's.
