Leonor FINI (Buenos Aires 1908 - Paris 1996)

Fini was an Argentine surrealist painter. Fini had an Italian mother and an Argentine father, who left the family when she was very young. Leonor Fini grew up in the Italian city of Trieste, and went to Paris to become a painter. There she came into contact with the work of Paul Eluard, Max Ernst, Georges Bataille, Henri Cartier-Bresson, André Pieyre de Mandiargues and Salvador Dalí.
