Artist

Luigi de Lerma was an artist who gained fame as a ceramist and painter. De Lerma studied majolica technique at the Instituto della Ceramica Faenze. He then worked as a teacher at the applied arts school Castella Monte, he was co-director of Ceramica Icaro and he was a ceramist at Vietri. There he met his future wife Sophie van Stolk - van der Does de Willebois. Since 1934 they left for the Netherlands, where they worked at the Groenekan. After the war, De Lerma also focused more on painting, mosaics and wall paintings.
