Marinus Vermeulen (1868-1941)

Marinus Cornelis Thomas Vermeulen was born on January 19, 1868 in Tilburg and died on March 26, 1941 in Amsterdam. Vermeulen was educated at the National Institute for the Education of Drawing Teachers (Rijksnormaalschool) under the guidance of Jan Derk Huibers. He worked in Edam as well as in Amsterdam, Nieuwer-Amstel and Watergraafsmeer as a painter, draftsman, watercolorist. In addition, he also worked as a professional teacher at a craft school. He is mainly known for landscapes, still lifes and seascapes. He was a member of Art en Amicitae in Amsterdam. Mentioned in Scheen.
