Marjan SMIT (Amersfoort 1958)
Marjan Smit trained at the Artibus Academy in Utrecht from 1979 to 1984.
She lives and works in Eindhoven.
Marjan Smit mainly makes etchings and also uses the drypoint technique. Closed lines ensure tight work, consisting of harmonious compositions. What Smit depicts usually takes place in and around the harbour. Smit's work is a bit gray, but has beautiful deep colors. Since 1996, Smit has also started making glass objects.
