Menno Bauer (1949)

Menno Bauer (1949)

Menno BAUER (Haarlem, 1949) was one of the nominees for the selection of Artist of the Year 2012. Her work is displayed in galleries and museums in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. He makes paintings and serigraphs. His work is about beauty and movement. Against the background of large areas of color, aggressive red versus friendly green, dancing, walking and falling are figures painted in black lines, trapped in their own world. Bauer often bases his compositions on studies of classical paintings in the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum.
