RÜCKL Crystal (Nizbor 1903)
Bohemian glass factory in Nižbor about 7 km west of Beroun in the Czech Republic. The factory makes Bohemian crystal with 24% lead.
It was founded in 1903 by Antonín Rückl, a member of a family of glassblowers. After World War II, in 1945, the factory was nationalized by the communists. In 1965 she became part of the holding Sklárny Bohemia (= Bohemian glass works). After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the factory passed into the hands of the founder's great-grandson and was once again in the hands of the Rückl family.
