Wim Crouwel is an important Dutch graphic designer and professor. In 1963, together with others, he founded the company Total Design, where he was director for some time and also worked for a long time. Wim Crouwel was responsible for the posters, catalogs and exhibitions of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam in 1964. He also contributed to the Dutch Pavilion at the 1970 World's Fair in Osaka.

In addition to a graphic designer, Wim Crouwel has also been active as a professor. He has both worked as a teacher in s'-Hertogenbosch and Amsterdam. He also taught Arts and Cultural Studies at Erasmus University. The Boijmans van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam has known Wim Crouwel as director from 1985 to 1993.
