A new Gooische artists' association, the Gooisch Scheppend Ambacht, attracted many different disciplines within the applied arts. The GSA was part of the national organization COSA. In 1951, the GSA opened its own exhibition space. More and more artists are signing up to GSA, partly because of the regularly organized parties. Eventually the number of members becomes almost too high for an association that wants to exhibit work regularly. As time progressed, the GSA also wanted to open up to members from outside the Gooi. The name Gooisch Scheppend Ambacht has been changed to Society for Collaborating Craft Artists and GSA becomes GSA Artists' Association. Other art disciplines are now also on display.
