Founded in 1893 - dissolved in 1914
La Libre Esthétique was an artist group in Belgium. The group was the successor of Les Vingt, who had fallen apart due to internal disagreements. Most members of Les Vingt switched to La Libre Esthétique. Annual avant-garde exhibitions were also held here. Within La Libre Esthétique, more attention was paid to the decorative art of Art Nouveau, but there was still no fixed program or a common style within the group.
