Veluwezoom painters

Around 1840, painters were attracted to the green surroundings of Oosterbeek because of the heaths, forests with water, and views over the Betuwe. Many romantic landscape painters settled in Oosterbeek and thus formed the group of Veluwezoom painters. Finally, in 1902, the artists' association Pictura Veluvensis was founded. This became a second generation of Veluwezoom painters.
