Alain Le Foll werd geboren in 1934 en stierf in 1982 en was een Franse illustrator en ontwerper. In de jaren 60 was Alain Le Foll een van de sleutelfiguren in de illustratiewereld. Werkte samen met tijdschriften zoals Elle en Marie-Claire. De Franse hoofdstad was bedekt met zijn bioscoopaffiches. Helaas heeft zijn persoonlijke leven zijn kunst ernstig aangetast, na zijn scheiding verhuisde hij weg van zijn 2 dochters en eindigde alleen in zijn kleine appartement in Parijs. Na zijn overlijden heeft een ongelukkig geschil tussen de erfgenamen de erkenning van zijn werk vertraagd, maar wordt nu geleidelijk herontdekt.
