Arkadiy Kurta - 'A Posteriori'

With each click of his shutter, Kurta breaks with tradition and gives us a glimpse of how women play with ideas of desire, freedom, and provocation. His photographs are a break from the conformity of everyday norms and allow us to see the world through the eyes of an audacious & committed artist. What Kurta's art reveals most is that a compelling nude photograph is one that lays bare both the body and the soul.  This unrepentant nun was shot at dawn to avoid the censure of the general public and law enforcement officers!

Arkadiy Kurta was born in 1977 in Ukraine & has a well-earned reputation for shooting nudes in public spaces.
