Arnold Berbers - Giethoorn - Sold

There are two etchings. Arnold Petrus Henri Berbers was born in Venlo. He attended the Arnhem Art Academy and eventually settled in the province of Drenthe. His first employer was the Noord Nederlandse Drukkerij, later part of Drukkerij Giethoorn. He started working as an illustrator, including on a series of children's books by Ton Hulsebosch. Berbers specialized in pre-Columbian South and Central America and Egypt and participated in the establishment of the Printing Museum. In 1997 he illustrated the comic strip 'Joris en de Kwieke Drukpers' for Giethoorn Groep Meppel.
