Berend Pasman - 1934-1996 magisch surrealisme - Sold

Landscape depiction in oil paint. Expressively and colorfully painted in surrealistic-figurative style. Work is painted on canvas/canvas and signed by the artist, bottom right. Expertly framed in a wooden frame, silver-coloured. The work is in excellent condition. There are some superficial scratches on the frame, not disturbing. Beautiful work, can be mounted directly on the wall. Berend Pasman was born in 1934, born on Pareh in Indonesia. As far as is known, he was self-taught and had no artistic training. He was a visual designer, painter and draftsman. His stylistic signature is considered magical surrealism. In the sixties he lived in Zandvoort and became co-founder of the Haarlem art circle X 65. In 1965 he received the Exp.Talens Prize. In 1991 Pasman was a member of the South Holland Cultural Council (The Hague). His work has been on display at many exhibitions.
