Bob Denneboom - Tekening , van Egmond - Sold

Bob Denneboom (1909 Amsterdam - 2001). During his school days, Bob was mainly engaged in drawing and sports. After first working in a studio where embroidery patterns were made, Bob decided to go to the Free Academy in Amsterdam around the age of 20 and train as a painter there. He also took private lessons from the painter Johan Buning (1893-1963). These lessons, combined with his own talent, resulted in a professional career as a painter. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be a thick sandwich and that is why he had various schnabbels. For example, he made billboards that at that time still had to be painted entirely by hand. Various works were purchased by museums such as the Amsterdam City Archives and the Stedelijk Museum in Alkmaar. Bob has held many exhibitions throughout the country throughout his life. A few years before his death, he donated 20 paintings to the then municipality of Egmond. These works consisted of portraits of many sea and dune professions practiced in earlier years. A number of these paintings can still be viewed in the Egmond's museum in Egmond aan Zee. Bob was very attached to the Egmonds and was also very proud when the then mayor Brommet appointed him honorary citizen of the municipality of Egmond.
