Petrus Antonius Carolus Augustinus 'Peter' Vos was born in Utrecht on September 15, 1935. He lived and worked in Utrecht and Amsterdam and traveled to France and Italy, among other places.
He was a student at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. He drew (pen) and watercolored illustrations for books and periodicals and made etchings and lithographs.
He was a member of 'De Keerkring' in Amsterdam and of the Hollandse Aquarellistenkring.
Peter Vos died in Utrecht in 2010.
Karel ('Charles') Christiaan Marie Donker , born 23-04-1940 in Utrecht, etcher, graphic artist, illustrator, lithographer, pen artist, painter and draftsman.
-Education: Royal Academy of Art and Design Den Bosch (1956-1961). Pupil of Marius de Leeuw (1915-2000). Influenced by Dirkje Kuik (1929-2008).
After his studies Charles Donker developed into a master etcher, who depicts subjects from nature in an inimitable, almost magical way.

Galerie Balans was founded in 1970 by Deborah Wolf, gallery owner, art consultant, author and filmmaker. From 1980-2003 she was advisor to the ABN AMRO art collection. From 1990-2009 additionally advisor for private collections. Her husband is the writer Remco Campert (1929).
