Malcolm (‘Mal’) Earl Waldron (New York, 16 augustus 1925 – Brussel, 2 december 2002) was een Amerikaanse jazz- en wereldmuziekpianist en jazzcomponist.
Omdat hij in New York geboren was hield hij zich vooral bezig met hardbop. Hij werd daarbij geïnspireerd door Thelonious Monk.
Jeanne Lee (29 januari 1939 - 25 oktober 2000) was een Amerikaanse jazz- zangeres, dichter en componist. Zij werkte samen met tal van vooraanstaande componisten en artiesten, waaronder Gunter Hampel , Andrew Cyrille , Ran Blake , Carla Bley , Anthony Braxton , Marion Brown , Archie Shepp , Mal Waldron , Mark Whitecage en vele anderen.
