The work came into my possession via an auction lot of Domeinen, with a number of special works of art in it, which I am now offering for sale here. A large part of the works obtained can be traced back to the Patent Council in The Hague, including a number of portraits of men who have worked for this council. Mr. Gerrit Doorman is one of the portrayed men who was an attorney for the Patent Council.
The work is in reasonably good condition as far as I can judge as a layman. The frame does have some damage. These are visible in the photo.
No certificate of authenticity was included and the work was not seen by a specialist. Determining who, what and where was done by researching it myself.
