Dick De Gryse (1942-2022) He received his artistic training at the Académie des Beaux-Arts et des Arts Décoratifs in Tournai. He perfected his drawing and painting in Paris and in Mougins, where he was often a guest in the studios of Pablo Picasso and Campigli.
Dick De Gryse lived for a while in Boston, where he studied with the Dutch master Jan Cox before returning to Belgium. He quickly realized that he had better leave the purely academic aspect of painting aside and went in search of his own style and handwriting.
