Ernst Moritz Engert: "Foxes", screen print based on a paper cut from around 1920 (joint work with William Hunt Diederich), hand print, 40 x 28 cm. Beautiful work by the well-known expressionist bohemian, scissor cutter and shadow player (1892-1986), who in the 1960s - being prevented from working with scissors and paper due to an increasing visual impairment - decided to reproduce his existing silhouettes using the screen printing process in manual prints. Here is one of these sheets, which comes from a partial estate of the artist. There are a few more sheets in my auctions; I also own numerous other motifs. If you are interested, please let us know!
