Beautiful pointulistic watercolor by ferdinand hart nibbrig from 1910 in gold-coloured  frame with recessed passe-partour with perspex.  The work shows a dirt road through the cornfields near the dunes on Walcheren. From 1910 until his death in 1915, Ferdinand Hart Nibbrig spent all summers in his summer house in Zoutelande on Walcheren. During these summers he painted many of his most famous oil paintings, including a view of the salt land. together with jan toorop it introduced pointulism in the netherlands at the beginning of the 20th century. During his stay in Paris (1888-1889) he came into contact with the pointulist works of Seurat and Signac. He started applying this technique in his works from 1892 and combined it with the use of short stripes  which are mainly known from luminism. The style used by Ferdinand Nibbrig is fully reflected in this watercolor.
