oil painting by the renowned Hungarian painter Ferenc Ujváry (1898-1971). A beautiful impressionist painting of village life. The author vividly captures a mother and child sitting in front of her house.

Ferenc Ujváry was born in Kisorosz as the son of the painter Ignác Ujváry. He studied at the Royal Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and with his father. He painted landscapes in a naturalistic style and his works were exhibited in the Art Gallery from 1924. Throughout his life he painted working people and the Danube landscape in his native village.
