In een zeer mooie frisse staat verkerend olieverf schilderij van de Amsterdamse kunstenaar Frits Hubeek.
Het werk zit in de originele lijst en is op de achterzijde door de kunstenaar voorzien van zijn naam en de titel.
Abraham Frits Hubeek werd op 1 oktober 1884 geboren in Amsterdam en overleed op 30 november 1952, eveneens in Amsterdam.
Hij woonde en werkte in deze stad.
Was leerling van de Tekenschool voor Kunstambachten o.l.v. J. Visser jr en G.W. C. Rueter.
Schilderde voornamelijk landschappen, watergezichten, duinlandschappen en heidegezichten; ook stillevens en bloemen.
Hij schilderde in de trant van de Haagse school.
Zijn stijl wordt gekenmerkt door een beperkt kleurgebruik en een vlakke, beheerste penseelvoering.
Was lid van ‘St Lucas' en ‘De Onafhankelijken' te Amsterdam.
