Frits van Eeden (Tilburg, 1944) grew up in The Hague. He followed his vocational training in The Hague and Amsterdam. After working in London for three years he moved to the United States and after a Best of Show was offered a part-time job by the Brevard Art Center and Museum in Melbourne, Florida. The first prize was a solo exhibition at the museum and a job as a teacher at the academy. He became a working member of Pulchri Studio in 1966, the Hague artists' association. He is still working as a painter and sculptor.

Through the sculpting, his painting also has a three-dimensional influence and is very clearly recognizable. His works have been shown in many national and international exhibitions.
