De kunstschilder Hendrik Cornelis Kranenburg heeft gewoond en gewerkt in Amsterdam, Laren (1943) en sinds 1962 in Bergen op Zoom.
Hij was een student van de Nationale Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Amsterdam onder leiding van HJ Jurres en WH van den Berg.
Hendrik Kranenburg maakte schilderijen, aquarellen, gesigneerd (met pen), etsen en litho's stadsgezichten, landschappen en portretten. Daarnaast maakte hij muurschilderingen, speelde hij uitstekend piano en was een begenadigd beeldhouwer.
