Herman
Brood (1946-2001) was in alles een rasartiest. In zijn muziek,
gedichten en vooral zijn schilderijen en zeefdrukken. Brood werkte
vol overgave, stort zich met penselen, verf en spuitbussen steeds
opnieuw in een hallucinerend avontuur waaruit hij onveranderd als
winnaar tevoorschijn kwam. Uit zijn werk spreekt een enorme
gedrevenheid die hij dankzij zijn perfecte beheersing van de techniek
op een briljante manier wist om te zetten in vorm en kleur. De grote
belangstelling voor zijn werk betekende voor Herman Brood een
geweldige stimulans.
