oil painting by renowned Dutch artist John Bevort (1917-1996) with a new frame. This is a palette knife painting, with a thick layer of paint creating a vivid image of a harbor dominated by the sea with anchored sailboats in the foreground. The dramatic effect of this work is enhanced by the setting sun, which highlights the dark shades in the painting. In several places, the frame does not completely cover the missing color (see photo), but this is only visible upon closer inspection, which does not detract from the overall beauty of the painting.
