- Groot gemengde techniek (o.a. olieverf, aquarel, pastel en zand) op karton schilderij met voorstelling van een doorbrekende zon bij de slufter op het waddeneiland Texel (NH). Rechtsboven gesigneerd en gedateerd (jan Hollenberg 2008). Zowel het schilderij als de lijst verkeren in zeer goede conditie. Door de vorige eigenaar voor 1150€ gekocht bij Kunstuitleen Alkmaar (zie achterzijde label).

Het Noord Hollands landschap loopt als een rode draad door zijn werk. Figuratief uitgevoerd, maar vaak ook met een grote mate van abstractie. Verstild of sfeervol, kleurig, krachtig en expressief verbeeld. De laatste jaren komen mens en dier steeds meer in het landschap naar voren. "De technieken die ik gebruik lopen uiteen van ets / litho en houtsnede tot schilderen met gemengde techniek / acryl op papier of linnen en aquarel. In mijn werk wil ik de schoonheid der natuur verbeelden, respect speelt hierin voor mij een zeer belangrijke rol."
