Jan Bieruma Oosting (Leeuwarden, September 5, 1816 - Oranjewoud, July 24, 1885) was a Dutch politician and statesman. He was the son of Johannes Bieruma Oosting and Sjuwke Cats.

Bieruma Oosting studied Roman and contemporary law at the Hogeschool in Utrecht until July 3, 1840. After this he became a lawyer in Leeuwarden, from September 9, 1840 to February 1850. From February 6, 1850 to July 1, 1851 he was grietman of Weststellingwerf and from 1851 to 1 October 1854, mayor of Weststellingwerf.

After this he became a member of the House of Representatives of the States General for the Leeuwarden constituency and then a member of the Provincial Council of Friesland for the Heerenveen constituency. In 1858 he became a subdistrict judge in Heerenveen, in 1871 mayor of Leeuwarden and in 1872 also a member of the Provincial Council of Friesland for the constituency of Leeuwarden.

In the former IJsbaankwartier in Leeuwarden, a street is named after him, the Bieruma Oostingweg.

Bieruma Oosting married Agatha Victoria Brantsma on November 12, 1840 and they had a son Johannes Bieruma Oosting in 1842.
