Dispo, Jacobus Lambertus;* geb. Steenwijk 10 maart 1890, overl. Den Haag 27 maart 1964. Woonde en werkte in Steenwijk, Den Haag, Keulen en Frankfort a.d. Main (Dld); sinds 1914 in Den Haag (van 1921 1924 in Groningen). Leerling van de Avond-ambachtsschool te Steenwijk (behaalde de hoogste onderscheiding voor tekenen), daarna van de Akademie v. B.K. in Den Haag (1908 1910). Werkte op een mozaïekatelier te Keulen (Dld), van 1921 1924 leraar aan de Schildersschool te Groningen, daarna als dekoratieschilder werkzaam (heeft veel diorama’s gemaakt). Na 1935 geheel als kunstschilder werkzaam, in het bijzonder van stadsgezichten (oude stadsdelen)..
