About the artist:
Joost Roelofsz (Blaricum, 1943) is a Dutch artist, watercolourist and illustrator. He won the Golden Brush in 1982 with the picture book Voor en achter. The first book he illustrated was De zeven hoofdzonden (1970), a compilation by Remco Campert with seven authors who each took on a deadly sin.
He then illustrated Tjeempie, or Liesje in Luiletterland by Remco Campert (1976) and Het rijk van Jabeer - getransformeerde sprookjes (Rudy Kousbroek, 1984). The book Een hele grote badkamer vol by Theo Olthuis received ' Vlag en Wimpel ' for the illustrations in 1984.
