Two colour lithographs made as school maps for the Catholic school group that aimed to depict Biblical scenes. There are two series of prints designed by illustrator Van Speybrouck, of which here are prints from 1939.
The prints were printed by the company "Chromolith JL Goffart SA Bruxelles" and both also bear the stamp of the "Liturgical Apolstelaat".
Artist Jozef Van Speybrouck (1891-1956) was known for both religious art and book and postcard illustrator. Although he received most of his commissions after 1920, his illustrative work is executed in typical Jugendstil.
