Kamagurka (aka Luc Zeebroek).
Belgian cartoonist, theatre and television maker and all-round artist. Kamagurka is known for his absurd cartoons and TV shows.
He was born on May 5, 1956 on the Belgian coast.
He studied at the KASK in Ghent but quit before his final exams. He started working as a cartoonist at HUMO and quickly gained fame with it. Kamagurka publishes in various magazines and newspapers in the Netherlands, France, UK, Germany, Austria, USA and many others.

He did several shows on Belgian and Dutch television, had a radio show together with Herr Seele (his lifelong companion) on Studio Brussel, and performs throughout the year in the Netherlands and Belgium. He also wrote a children's fairy tale and two plays that were performed at NTG in Ghent. Kamagurka has published more than 25 comic books, from Bert and Bobje to Cowboy Henk. As a painter, he has also exhibited in several galleries and museums in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

After previous exhibitions in our gallery in 2004, 2007 and 2014, we are now showing a wide selection of some 50 works from the painting oeuvre of KAMAGURKA (Luc Zeebroek) from the past 20 years. At this sales exhibition you will see canvases and drawings from different periods: from his exhibition Tour de Trance in the Stedelijk in 2002, via the Kamalmanak in 2008 to Kamagurkistan in 2018/2019, supplemented with recent works. Festive opening on Saturday 6 June 2020 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The artist will be present, of course at an appropriate distance. The gallery is open from 1:00 PM.
