Description
Louis Greuze (1863 - 1950) - 2 x Orientalist drawing and Watercolor - Hand signed. Painter but especially engraver and lithographer. From 1876 he attended the courses of A. Hennebicq, AJ Bourlard and A. Danse at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen. Second Prix de Rome (engraving) in 1886, he devoted himself to copying great masters such as J. van Eyck and PP Rubens. The perfection of his technique.
He was an engraver and illustrator at the Royal Academy in Belgium from 1897 to 1933. Was a teacher of engraving techniques at the academy in Bergen. See extensive text on photo.
