Old wisdom, young gaze.
I wanted to capture the wisdom and connection between parent and child in an image that is both playful and contemplative. I cast the owl, an age-old symbol of insight, in an origami-like form—tight and structured, as if wisdom were something carefully folded, layer by layer. But the softness of pastel keeps it from being cold; there is still room for emotion and warmth. The little owl sits next to the big one, still developing, still searching. Together they look out into the world, perhaps thinking about what is to come, perhaps just enjoying the moment.
