This is a special work, coming from the study of Dr RW in The Hague, political scientist - fighter against discrimination, racism and violence.

Signed, but can't find this artist (-) anywhere, unfortunately. Special.
Antonio Tejero Molina (Málaga, April 30, 1932) is a Spanish former lieutenant colonel who led two failed coups d'état, in 1978 and 1981.

In 1951 he joined the Guardia Civil. He became regimental leader in Gipuzkoa in the Basque Country but was transferred after speaking out against the Basque flag (the ikurriña). He opposed the democratic reforms after the death of Francisco Franco.

He has two coup attempts to his name: after a first failed attempt in 1978, he tried again on February 23, 1981. He then stormed the Spanish Congress with 200 Guardia Civil officers. At that time, this parliament was about to appoint Leopoldo Calvo-Sotelo Prime Minister. Meanwhile, other military leaders had declared a state of emergency. King Juan Carlos sought sufficient military support to fight the coup plotters. The next afternoon, with a paratrooper regiment on hand, he delivered a televised speech condemning the coup and saying that the democratic process should continue. The coup plotters surrendered and were arrested. Tejero was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Tejero was the last of the coup leaders in captivity when he was released on December 2, 1996, after 15 years. On October 24, 2019, he appeared in public one more time at the reburial of Generalissimo Franco. When the very elderly former officer arrived at the cemetery in Madrid, he was cheered by the Spaniards present.
Condition
ConditionVery good
The glass plate prevents you from taking good pictures - tried my best. The work has not been taken out of the frame for a closer look - as far as can be judged it is oil on canvas.
The list is very cool and beautiful, for sure.
