Over de kunstenaar
Paul Citroen, geboren in Berlijn in 1893 en overleden in Wassenaar in 1983.
Hij ontving zijn opleiding in het Bauhaus in Weimar, Tegen het einde van WO I, 1917, kwam hij naar Nederland en was hij medeoprichter van een Bauhaus gelijke opleiding in Nederland, de Nieuwe Kunstschool Amsterdam (1933-1937). In WO II dook hij onder. Van 1945 tot 1960 was hij docent aan de Kunstacademie van Den Haag. De schilder en leraar Paul Citroen heeft diverse prijzen ontvangen
