Pieter de Jode II 1601-1674 Eight portraits of noble figures. All eight have approximately the same size, on average 17 x 12 cm. All signed at the bottom of the plate with “Petr. The Jode sculpit” or a slight variation thereof. All engravings are completely clean and intact, the back also unwritten, usually two small paper sticker residues on the top, or visible remains thereof. Posthumous edition, first half of the 18th century 1. Aegidius Sadeler (=Hollstein 153), after a self-portrait. Intact, 5 mm margin. 2. Clara Maria Nassau-Sieger (=H 118). Intact, 2 mm margin. 3. The humanist Baptisie Guarino (slightly larger size, darker in color, not in Hollstein). Intact, 15 mm margin. Also from the series Hollstein 205-384 (individual numbers unknown): 4.
