Intriguing iron sculpture by the French-Israeli sculptor Shamaï Haber. Haber's approach - primitive, elemental, monolithic - shows a rare authenticity. However, his multiform work, true to an underlying humanitarian impulse and Biblical inspiration, obeys intrinsic logic that is both tumultuous and rigorous.
Faced with an industrialized and a 'coded' world, Haber unites the forces of man and nature, in a reunited world.

Haber is a leading sculptor. Had a solo exhibition in the Stedelijk Museum in 1960. In 1964 a statue of this artist was placed in the water in the Vondelpark. In 1967 he made a statue for the "Huis ten Bosch" palace in The Hague, but especially has many statues in France, including an 8 meter high statue in the center of Paris, blvd Raspail.

The sculpture comes from a private collection, presumably purchased at an exhibition in France in 1977.

Attention! Due to the exceptional weight and size (the weight is disproportionately distributed), the item can only be delivered by courier. For this, at least 2 physically strong persons must be present at the delivery address to help with unloading.

The work can also be picked up at our office, but only if you can lift it yourself in the car (We recommend at least three strong people). The staff of Kunstveiling will not assist with this.

The weight is unknown, but certainly 50kg+.

The wooden base does not belong to the sculpture.
