Origin: Image comes from the estate of Herman Martin: Author, known for the book "Tjipke Visser, sculptor, and his daughter Marijcke Visser, sculptress goldsmith" published in 1958.
Visser's work is diverse. In addition to human figures, such as the statue in question, he also made many animal figures in different periods, for which he was inspired by the Artis Zoo. There is also variation in his choice of materials: Visser used both wood and bronze for his sculptures. His work is very popular among collectors.
