Ton Pape (1916-2003) was born in The Hague and died in Rijswijk. He received his education at the Hague Academy of Fine Arts. Ton Pape was a versatile artist, who painted, drew, and made watercolors. Both figurative: dune landscapes, polders and cityscapes etc., as well as abstract and also geometric abstract. In his work he mainly searches for space. He also designed fabrics. He was a well-known member of Pulchri Studio and exhibited in many places.
