Being a deeply personal project for the British fashion icon, this Opus is limited to just 900 copies divided into nine editions of 100. Each edition features a specially designed cover by Vivienne Westwood, and copies within the edition are individually numbered from 1 up to 100.
Many of Vivienne Westwood's family and friends appear in the images, including a number of international celebrities and major fashion personalities. They were all personally invited by Westwood and all feature large-format Polaroid dressed in statement pieces from the iconic designer's recent collections. The signatures of the guest contributors on the original Polaroids give the images an extra personal touch.
Each Opus features a gallery section with stunning portraits taken with the rare Polaroid 20 x 24 Studio camera. The camera was taken from Prague to Paris and London for three separate photo shoots for The Official Vivienne Westwood Opus. 97 selected Polaroids, taken by Zenon Texeira in black and white, color and sepia, featuring Vivienne Westwood's family and friends (including many international celebrities such as Helena Bonham Carter, Kate Moss, Tracy Emin, Phillip Treacy, Tim Burton and Jerry Hall) dressed in garments from her stunning collections are displayed full size in the Opus.
