WXYZ - 1D-Wxyz-8 - Unique painting on US $1 banknote

“1D-Wxyz-8” is the eighth 1 dollar banknote painted by Wxyz.
This dollar is held by two magnetized blocks of plexiglass, blocks of 15 x 20 cm. They include a holographic signature on the bottom right corner of the holder. The artwork is signed with the artist's stamp on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Wxyz was born in Paris in 1980, he grew up and still works in the east of Paris. He owes his artistic awakening to the observation, from an early age, of wall inscriptions. Since 1996 he has painted many walls, mainly in the Paris area. Since then, he has enjoyed transforming letters and finding new ways to draw Wxyz using “all the colors of the alphabet,” as he likes to say to children. In his work the letter is more than a pseudonym, it serves as a pretext for the exploration of colors and shapes, as a skeleton for abstraction.
Wxyz participated in numerous collective exhibitions and had 2 solo exhibitions in Paris in 2015 and 2020.
