Education:

Guido de Waart was educated from 1948 to 1952 at the Academy of Fine Arts (now Willem de Kooning Academy) in Rotterdam. He was also a teacher at this academy and at the Academy of Architecture for more than twenty years.

Guido de Waart is an artist who masters a wide variety of materials and techniques: drawings, graphics, paintings, objects and also monumental commissions. Because he works with the experiment, the technical possibilities, craftsmanship and craftsmanship, this constantly leads to new visual results and perspectives for the artist. Van de Waart also works a lot with pieces of thin paper glued layer-on-layer. In this way, the concept slowly develops with craftsmanship and craftsmanship into an end product.
